It’s been speculated for a while that Charlie Nash would be coming to the new “Street Fighter 5”, but until now, we had no official confirmation that this was happening. And now, Capcom have finally broken their silence about the character, releasing a brand new video to introduce him into the roster of the new fighting game.
Most fans were practically convinced that Charlie was coming to the game by this point, as we saw a teaser at last year’s Capcom Cup that previewed the character, after “Street Fighter 4” didn’t include him. Many were hoping that the teaser was real and not just a source of false hope given by Capcom, and in the end, the studio came through and gave fans exactly what they wanted.
Charlie wasn’t the only character shown in the new trailer though, as we also got to see Ryu and Chun-Li fighting along with Charlie, and we can also briefly spot M. Bison’s outline around the final seconds of the video. It wouldn’t be a proper “Street Fighter” game without M. Bison, of course, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that the character is coming to “Street Fighter 5”, but it’s always fun for fans to catch those occasional glimpses of their favorite characters in pre-release teasers.
The game’s development is coming along rather nicely so far, and there seem to be no delays in sight, as Capcom have been handling every aspect of the game’s production according to their plans. The new title has been confirmed for release on the PC and PlayStation 4, and it’s been specifically said that Xbox players are not going to get it. The PlayStation 4 is the only console that will see the release of the new “Street Fighter”, according to Sony.
No major surprises there either, as it’s been suspected for a while that this would be the case. In fact, some of the game’s fans were actually worried that Capcom might even skip the PC as a platform, after some rumors started to surface stating that. However, Capcom were quick to deny those claims, confirming that the game is coming to the PC, allowing PC fans to put their minds at ease.
So now, all that’s left is to wait for more teasers and ultimately the game itself – Capcom are well-known for actively engaging their fans, so we should definitely get some more information about the game before it’s released. Does the studio have even more trailers prepared, or are they just going to release smaller hints from now on? It’s hard to tell – but considering that the game’s release date hasn’t even been announced yet, it’s very likely that we’ll get at least one more trailer before it’s out.
