Meanwhile, there have been rumors that there is ongoing casting for the role of Han Solo for another film, that was reportedly looking for an actor in his “teens to early 20s”, which sounds a bit strange in the context of finding out that Harrison Ford would be coming back to “Star Wars”.
The new film is supposed to have a slightly different angle though, and it’s going to follow the development of Han Solo, which is probably why they don’t want the character to be played by Ford.
We don’t know exactly what the film will be about yet (other than the fact that it’s focused on Han Solo), but there is still a lot of time before it’s released, so details will likely start coming in at a later point.
Currently it’s scheduled for release in 2018, and it even has an exact date set – May 25 – so it’s likely going to be prepared in time. We expect more details to start coming out in 2016/2017 as the release of the film comes closer, but we also wouldn’t be surprised if some rumors started making their way to the public sooner than that. After all, a production as major as this will definitely get a lot of attention from all sides of its fan community.
