After the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” revived interest in the famous franchise, there have been lots of rumors about the future of the saga. There is a lot of excitement among fans, both those who’ve been with the series since the beginning, as well as newcomers who joined the ranks through the hype around “The Force Awakens”. Right now, lots of possibilities are being discussed about what the next film could bring to the table, but the most prominent rumors at the moment are focused on its title and list of actors.
Thera are several suggestions going around for what the film might be called, and of course those are all unofficial rumors so fans should take them with a grain of salt. Many fans are currently convinced that the film will be called “Star Wars: The Order of the Dark Side”, and while we can’t verify the credibility of the source for this rumor, it’s worth noting that it’s been repeated several times already.
“Star Wars: Tale of the Jedi” is another name that we’ve seen a few times so far, and it’s interesting how these two main suggestions somewhat clash with each other, much like the Light and Dark side from the lore of the “Star Wars” franchise itself.
Of course, fans should keep in mind that the franchise is now owned by Disney, and the studio is notorious for their secrecy and their ability to keep their work under wraps until they decide they’re ready to show it to the public. With that in mind, we don’t expect to find out the official name for the next “Star Wars” film until Disney have decided to preview the film, and the current theories are most likely guesses rather than theories founded in reality.
And even if we assume that one of those names is an actual leak from someone working close to the production – or even directly involved in it – we should still keep in mind that the film is in an early stage of production and it’s possible that Disney haven’t even finalized decisions like its name yet.
Meanwhile, there has also been some talk about the possible actors taking part in the new production, and one of the more prominent names we’ve seen mentioned is that of Amy Adams. The actress admitted that she would enjoy getting a part in the next film, or maybe the one after it, although it didn’t seem like she had actually been in any serious talks about this with Disney or anyone else.
According to Adams herself, she has been obsessed with “The Force Awakens” ever since the film came out, and she’s not actually very pretentious about her exact role in the next films if there is any possibility of her playing in them. As one could guess, there hasn’t been any official response from Disney on the matter. And even if they were to agree with the idea of having Adams play in the next “Star Wars”, we don’t expect that they would be in any rush to make that decision public.
There have also been other rumors about who might play in the eighth installment in the franchise, but there doesn’t seem to be anything concrete out there so far. For the most part, fans have been guessing based on little bits of information that are available to them.
