We don’t expect the studio to address their audience in a more direct way until a few months before the launch date of the film, so those who’re waiting for “Episode 8” should arm themselves with a lot of patience.
There have also been some minor rumors that there could be another important release in the “Star Wars” universe this year, but there are no concrete details on that, and fans have been trying to guess what the rumors could be hinting at to no avail. Of course, with all the secrecy around Disney, that should be no surprise.
We wouldn’t put too much trust in those rumors though, considering that there is a lot of misinformation going on right now regarding “Star Wars”, and it can be pretty hard to navigate all of that speculation.
Fans of the franchise have mostly gotten used to this at that point, but everyone should still be careful with the information they come across. If something sounds too good to be true, there’s probably more to that story, especially if Disney don’t want to address it themselves in any capacity. On the other hand, once the studio does say something about the next film, it will be all over the news in no time, as fans are practically waiting to eat that information up as soon as it makes its way to the public eye.
