Star Wars Episode 7: Trailer Shows Millenium Falcon Dodging Laser Blasts; Lucas Has Still Not Watched The Trailer!

Star Wars fans are excited after the first official trailer of Star Wars Episode 7 was released online on 28th November. The whole Star Wars fandom had been patiently waiting for the 2015 release of the film. They have not wanted any scoops or inside information, for that will temper with their experience of Episode 7.

George Lucas, the creator of the Star Wars universe and the director of the previous six Star Wars films is a part of Star Wars Episode 7 as a consultant. Star Wars Episode 7 will be directed by J.J Abrams.

The film opens on the plot line that the Force has awakened and is stronger than ever before. The nature of the Force has changed, such that the individuals who are gifted with the Force now know that. Previously, the Force was gifted to a special few, but after the purge of the Jedi and fall of the Empire, the Force is now manifested on more individuals. The opening of the Star Wars Episode 7 will show how the nature of the force has changed.

The trailer that was released on 28th November doesn’t show any of the original star cast of Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill. It has a new comer to the Star Wars franchise, John Boyega racing across what looks like the deserted landscape of Tattoine dressed as Stormtrooper.

Daisey Ridley, who is speculated to be the Force gifted daughter of Princess Leia and Hans Solo is shown riding a hover vehicle. The trailer ends with a shot of a sword like light saber in the hands of an ominous black hooded figure. The welcome image of the Millenium Falcon dodging lasers has got fans all excited.

George Lucas when asked if he has watched the trailer responded in the negative, saying that he prefers watching trailers in the movie theatre and will definitely watch it when the trailer is released there. The trailer of Star Wars Episode 7 was released in over 30 theatres across North America on the Thanksgiving weekend by Cinemark, Regal Entertainment, Carmike Cinemas and AMC chains.

When asked if Lucas wasn’t interested in the new Star Wars Episode 7, he said that it wasn’t so, but he wasn’t really interested in seeing how Abrams has dealt with the Star Wars universe.

This event has caused some eyebrows to rise. Why this sudden lack of interest from Mr. Lucas? There is speculation that there must be some strife between Abrams and Lucas. When the production for Star Wars Episode 7 started out the two would constantly meet up with Lucas giving him ready advice.
