The latest casting rumor also suggests “Lost” alum Ken Leung will appear in the film as a high-ranking military official. The report was further fueled with the star being photographed on the set wearing what seemed like a military uniform although no confirmation has been made by the producers as of this time.
Producers of the film have been quick to quench fan thirst for the movie by releasing new stills almost every week. Disney and Lucasfilm will reportedly debut another trailer at ComicCon 2015 during the film’s panel presentation at the event scheduled on July 10.
Critics expect the film to be a box-office hit and generate huge ticket sales once it premieres. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is expected to beat other certified blockbuster films this year including “Jurassic World,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” and “Fast & Furious 7.”
While the movie has yet to be released on theaters, award-winning director Rian Jonson has already confirmed that he will direct “Star Wars: Episode VIII.” The report no longer came as a surprise to “Star Wars” fans as Disney originally planned a trilogy for the series when it bought Lucasfilm. The eighth movie of the series is reported to start filming next year, with producers targeting a May 2017 release date.
