Star Trek Beyond Charity Video Shows a Tour Inside the Enterprise!

Omaze produced an interesting video about “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” not long ago, showing an exclusive look at the set of the film and giving viewers a brief tour of the working environment for the producers and cast. And now, fans of “Star Trek” are treated in a similar way, with the release of a new video for “Star Trek Beyond” that gives viewers a tour of the Enterprise.

We can see various prominent cast members, including Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban and Zachary Quinto in the video as the camera is moving around the different parts of the Enterprise. Fans of the franchise who want to participate in the charity events organized by Omaze can donate $10 or more for a chance to get an actual role in the movie, walking around the set.

There are even more prizes to be won, including a visit to the set, props from the film, t-shirts, videos and various other goodies that should keep fans entertained for a while. And in the end, those that don’t win should still get the joy of knowing that their donations are going towards a good cause, helping various charities around the world.

The video is pretty well-done as well and it’s a joy to look at, as it’s definitely fun to see the actors out of their regular characters exploring the set that they work on. Some have noted that all actors look a lot like they did in the original two films, which makes sense given that the ship is still the Enterprise.

And then we have Idris Elba’s dancing skills which, according to some commenters, put everyone else to shame. All in all, it was in good spirit and was a fun experience for fans of the franchise as they’re waiting for the next installment.

So far, not many details are known about the film officially, and fans are actually wondering what kind of plot they’re going to get. We do know that the plot was written by Doug Jung and Simon Pegg, but not any specific details about the storyline that will unfold in it. Justin Lin is handling the directing, and various actors have been confirmed already as we described above.

There’s about a year left in its production, with the current plan being to have it out on July 8, 2016, so it’s a little too early for the major details to start coming out. The studio also probably has a very specific release schedule in mind, which includes their marketing and hype efforts, so we’re not going to find out anything about “Star Trek Beyond” until they’re ready to present it.

Of course, rumors are a different story – with a production as major as this, they’re to be expected in large volumes. And it’s true that we’re already hearing various interesting things about the upcoming film, though we have no idea which of them are true and which aren’t.

It might take the franchise back to its roots and explore the kinds of plot lines that drew so many fans to it in the first place, or on the other hand, it could try some fresh new approaches to storytelling. In any case, with a name as big as this, it’s guaranteed to have some very interesting developments in the storyline. The “Star Trek” universe is pretty open to new developments of all kinds due to its basic premise, and the writers have a lot of freedom in their hands.
