‘Spider-Man’ to Get an ‘Iron Spider’ Costume in the Reboot Movie!

While there have been recent reports from Marvel executives that the new Spider-Man’s costume will blow people away, only a couple of images on social media hinted that it will be an entirely different one compared to what viewers have seen in the last two Spider-Man movie series.

As everyone knows, Sony has produced two movie series about the web-slinging superhero beginning with Tobey Maguire’s “Spider-Man” series which had three instalments, and Andrew Garfield’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” film series, which had two.

Marvel’s reboot of Spider-Man is the second reboot but for some reason, it is drawing more excitement than ever because of the fact that for the first time ever, the wall-climbing superhero will be joining the Marvel cinematic universe, and rub elbows with other superheroes too.

Marvel’s “Spider-Man” reboot will hit the cinemas on July 28, 2017 but it has been reported that he will have first his cameo introductory appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” which will be shown on theaters on May 6, 2016.

Tony Stark to design new Spidey costume

While Spider-Man will appear in the third Captain America movie, there are reports going around lately that the character will only come out as Peter Parker.

Apparently, Marvel wants to make the new Spider-Man costume the movie’s biggest reveal when it is shown in July 2017 that it still wants to keep it under wraps in “Captain America: Civil War.”

Word also has it that it will be Tony Stark, played by world’s highest paid actor Robert Downey Jr. for three years running, who shall be designing the new suit for Spider-Man.

Stark likes developing superhero stuff. Aside from coming up with his own suit as Iron Man, it can be recalled that it was him and Bruce Banner, who developed Ultron in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in their desire to help the Avengers address all the superhero problems in the world.

Now, there are reports that Tom Holland, the young actor who was chosen by Marvel to play the role of Peter Parker and Spider-Man will just appear as a civilian in “Captain America: Civil War” because Marvel evidently wants to keep the costume a secret until the “Spider-Man” reboot movie, nearly two years down the road, notes Christian Today.

Accordingly, since it will be Tony Stark who shall be designing the new Spider-Man costume, it shall actually be called as the ‘Iron Spider’ suit.

However, all these are mere speculations at this time as Marvel has yet to confirm or deny the reports about the new Spider-Man costume.

More diverse superhero world

In a recent interview, Andrew Garfield spoke about the possibility of Spider-Man and his alter ego Peter Parker being gay. The notion is actually a follow-up to his recent statement complimenting Marvel for paving the way for the web-slinging superhero character to finally make it to the Marvel cinematic universe.

Garfield believes that Peter Parker does not need to be heterosexual and hopes to see more diverse superhero world, saying that it would really be exciting to see a pansexual Spider-Man, details Fox News.

Sometime in May, Garfield also said that what if the character MJ would be a guy instead of a girl like in Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man series, then Peter would perhaps explore his sexuality and that would really be groundbreaking. But then, it was just his opinion and does not share that of Marvel, and perhaps many of the fans of the Spider-Man franchise too.

Marvel always come out with something different and unique even if it is merely doing a movie reboot. That would seem to be what the film production company will be doing with the “Spider-Man” movie reboot starring Tom Holland.

After the ground-breaking agreement between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, Spider-Man will officially join the Marvel cinematic universe.
