He claims he was born to play Spider-Man and was also quoted as saying that he is young and pretty and represents the youth in America. He also says that he speaks to the youth in a way nobody can at this time. He said that he is also the American Idol.
Gray said that he likes to climb and fly through the sky and that he would look amazing in the Spider-Man outfit.
Despite initial apprehensions of critics over his capability to perform and deliver as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Tom Holland was unperturbed.
He said that the negative comments only gave him more motivation to prove his detractors wrong when he starts filming the movie. But he expects to have fun doing the film.
Holland actually got a boost from Director Ron Howard of “In the Heart of the Sea,” which the British young actor is also part of. In a recent interview, Howard said that he is confident that Holland will deliver a crowd-pleasing performance as Spider-Man.
The critically-acclaimed director said that Tom has the best qualities because he is energetic, charismatic, and he has an impressive work ethic. He added that Holland has a great combination of physical ability and his willingness to throw himself into situations and still be connected to a character in ways that ring true.
