The ‘Spider-Man’ reboot movie starring Tom Holland is to hit global theaters on July 28, 2017, but rumors and speculations about the film have started making the rounds on the internet even this early.
High among the rumors about the movie is the Iron Spider suit of Tom Holland that shall reportedly blow the minds of the viewers away. But the costume will not be showcased during Spider-Man’s formal debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe via “Captain America: Civil War” which will hit cinemas on May 6, 2016.
As far as plotline is concerned, it has been reported previously that the “Spider-Man” reboot movie shall focus on a teenage Peter Parker being in high school.
Since he can no longer contain his excitement over the “Spider-Man” reboot movie, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has disclosed in a very recent interview that the official title of the movie may turn out to be “The Spectacular Spider-Man,” reports the International Business Times of Australia.
That shall make it different from the first trilogy starring Tobey Maguire which only had “Spider-Man” for a title. The second series featuring Andrew Garfield and consisting of two movies had the title “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
Part of Phase 3 of MCU
Feige also revealed that “The Spectacular Spider-Man” is already part of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which begins with “Captain America: Civil War” next year.
The Marvel boss also cited that Tom Holland’s movie will seem small scale compared with the other Phase 3 movies of the MCU which include the third Captain America film and the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” but he assured fans that it is going to be as big and spectacular a Spider-Man film as has ever been made.
He also confirmed the previous rumors that the “Spider-Man” reboot movie is going to be a Peter Parker story and it will focus on the story of a 15-year-old kid going to high school.
The title of “The Spectacular Spider-Man” is no longer new as Marvel already had the same animated TV series back in 2008 which also featured a teenage Peter Parker.
A brilliant movie
While the main characters in the upcoming Marvel film “Captain America: Civil War” will be the star-spangled superhero and Iron Man, other upstart superheroes will eventually showcase their own wares in their own solo films that shall come after the movie. One of them is Spider-Man.
When asked about his supporting role in “Captain America: Civil War,” Tom Holland said that aside from huge, the third Captain America movie is a brilliant one.
He added that the success of his solo film shall basically depend on the success of “Captain America: Civil War” which is pretty much guaranteed even this early.
Holland added that the movie was also a real eye-opener for him to learn what it will be like when he starts his own film. He said that the only problem he saw with “Captain America: Civil War” was that it made him more excited to start on “Spider-Man.” Since filming for the movie will not happen until the next few months, his challenge is how to contain the excitement that has been sweeping him, details Screen Rant.
Marvel Studios has already made up its mind that the next actor who shall take on the role of the web-slinging superhero in the “Spider-Man” reboot is going to be Tom Holland.
Despite the official casting of the 19-year-old English actor as Peter Parker a.k.a Spider-Man, teen Bryshere Y. Gray, who plays Hakeem a.k.a. Yazz the Greatest on the TV series “Empire” on Fox, is still vying to play the role of the Marvel superhero in a future installment of “Spider-Man.”
Gray apparently knows his Spider-Man comic book because the wall-climbing superhero is currently being played by a biracial teen named Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man.
But since Marvel Studios stick with Peter Parker as Spidey’s alter-ego, they have decided to stick with another white kid following Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
Meanwhile, Gray has begun his campaign to become the first black Spider-Man as he posed for Paper magazine in full costume display.
