Holland will play the youngest version of Peter Parker on the big screen, as he is only 15 or 16 years old, Marvel head Kevin Feige revealed. Marissa Tomei has been cast as Aunt May, playing also as the youngest version of the character.

While details of the forthcoming “Spider-Man” reboot is still scarce, things are looking good for Tom Holland. The British actor has recently been cast in the “Lost City of Z.”

“Lost City of Z” is an upcoming film based on a book by author David Gran. It was an expansion of an article he penned for The New Yorker. It revolves around the British explorer Percy Fawcett who went missing while some other explorers including his son, were in the hunt for an ancient city in the Amazon in 1925.

Holland will join Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller, and Charlie Hunnam as Colonel Percy Fawcett, whose role originally went to Benedict Cumberbatch, in the upcoming film.

While no release date has been announced yet, production for the “Lost City of Z” had already kicked off in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Filming will then move to Colombia this month and continue in October.
With his latest film venture, Holland’s film credits are rapidly growing. His latest movie, the thriller “Backcountry,” came out in March. The actor also has two more films slated to be released this year – “In the Heart of the Sea” with Chris Hemsworth, and “Pilgrimage.”
