Spider-Man Reboot Confirmed to Feature Iron Man as the Other Marvel Superhero in the Film!

During an interview in March, Tom Holland hinted that there will be another Marvel superhero who will make a cameo appearance in the “Spider-Man” reboot movie featuring him in the lead role.

The young actor did not reveal then who among the Avengers would it be but he did say that his character will be so close to him/her in “Captain America: Civil War” that the superhero would eventually show up in the “Spider-Man” stand-alone film.

Now that “Captain America: Civil War” will be hitting theaters worldwide in a matter of days, reports have already been confirmed that it is going to be Iron Man who shall make a cameo appearance in the “Spider-Man” reboot when it hits cinemas on July 7, 2017.

That also means that actor Robert Downey Jr. has three confirmed appearances in Marvel films, one each per year from 2017 to 2019, including “Spider-Man,” and the two-part “Avengers: Infinity War.”

However, there was also a bit of not-so-good news for the “Spider-Man” reboot when veteran actor Michael Keaton, who previously played the Batman role, did not come to terms with Marvel Studios for a possible villain role in the movie, reports Deadline.

It would have been a juicy idea to pit the former Batman with the upcoming Spider-Man but apparently, that would no longer be happening as the production outfit is now looking to cast another actor for the main villain role in the “Spider-Man” reboot.

Working together in the film

Meanwhile, while Sony Pictures appears to be calling the shots in the upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot and shall, in fact, be releasing the film, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige clarified during the press day for “Captain America: Civil War” that both Sony and Marvel are working very much together in the movie.

Feige said that he does not know exactly what the credits will be but “Spider-Man” reboot will be a Sony Pictures production of a Marvel Studios film.

He added that the agreement between Sony and Marvel was that it is very much a Sony Pictures movie. Sony will be producing while Marvel will be the creative producers.

The Marvel Studios boss said that Marvel is the one hiring the actor, introducing him in the film and then working on the script. He also said that filming of “Spider-Man” will soon begin.

When asked if they are looking at establishing a “Spider-Man” franchise, Feige said that the agreement between Sony and Marvel does not involve any sequel just yet. He added that Marvel’s deal with Sony does not specifically denote who can and cannot crossover between the franchises, details Collider.

The costume draws attention

The “Spider-Man” reboot movie starring Tom Holland will now hit theaters on July 7, 2017 from its previously-announced release date of July 28, 2017.

But fans need not wait over a year to see Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man as the character is expected to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the release to worldwide theaters of “Captain America: Civil War” in a few days time.

So far, one of the most exciting things that fans are looking forward to seeing Spider-Man is his new costume, which was previously reported as something that will blow people’s minds. From then on, Marvel fans have always been on the lookout for possible photo leaks of the new costume of the web-slinging Marvel superhero.

There have been plenty of rumors about Spider-Man’s costume in the past, including images of supposed early designs that were never actually confirmed.

“Captain America: Civil War” co-director Anthony Russo said in December that Spider-Man’s costume is not ready to be seen yet because so much will be produced with special effects.
