‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Ongoing Filming Demonstrates Tom Holland’s Acrobatic Abilities!

Tom Holland may be just taking baby steps in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the new Peter Parker and Spider-Man in the upcoming reboot of the franchise, officially titled “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” But the 19-year-old actor seems to be having a blast filming and enjoying all the actions on the set.

He recently shared a video on his Instagram account from the set of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” where he demonstrated his impressive acrobatic abilities based on the instruction of the movie’s stunt coordinator, reports ComicBookMovie.com.

After the stunt coordinator showed him how to do it using a trampoline, Tom Holland subsequently performed an impressive jumping flip stunt that got the stunt coordinator to say to the camera men to film it for the next take.

Incidentally, a Reddit user also posted some of the new set images of Tom Holland suited up as Spider-Man and it looks like it is the new costume for the superhero character because it was not the same that he wore in “Captain America: Civil War.”

In one of the images leaked by the Reddit user, Tom Holland as Spider-Man was seen holding a color card, which is not a movie prop but a tool for color correcting in the post and the other object acts as a light reference for effect artists.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is due to hit global theaters on July 7, 2017 and aside from Tom Holland, other stars of the movie include Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Michael Mando, Bokeem Woodbine, Abraham Attah, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Zendaya, and many others.

An impressive debut

Because of his character’s impressive debut in “Captain America: Civil War” shown in May this year, Tom Holland as Spider-Man has won over tons of fans.

If there was any negative reaction to Spider-Man’s first appearance in the MCU, they were in reaction to his updated costume. But the designers were not at all bothered by the naysayers since they have kept Peter Parker’s spider suit moving forward into his stand-alone film.

There have been rumors that Tony Stark shall be creating a costume for Spider-Man which led to speculations that the Iron Spider costume is to be introduced in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” notes Screen Rant.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo also confirmed that Iron Spider was indeed considered but it was eventually rejected. The rumors back then said that the new Spider-Man costume shall be blowing people’s minds and it would be a disappointment if the movie does not live up to it.

Falling in love with the superhero character

Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President, is confident that fans would fall in love with Spider-Man all over again in the upcoming reboot of the franchise via “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

During an interview at the San Diego ComicCon in July, Feige was quoted as saying that the decision to reintroduce a new Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Captain America: Civil War” has been a great success.

He explained that it left most people and fans leaving the theaters and saying that they love the new Spider-Man and they wanted to see more of him.

Feige said that “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is going to be a great film and it will showcase Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make everybody fall in love with him all over again.

One other thing that seems to be going for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is the decision to focus on the web-slinging superhero character as a high school student.

Having a Peter Parker in high school was one of the first decisions made by Marvel when it was granted by Sony the creative control of the character following their historic collaboration in February last year.
