The film is being directed by Jon Watts and is based on a screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who we might recognize from the show Vacation reboot and Jon Watts and Christopher Ford; Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
According to a report from Collider, a short clip from Comic Con Experience 2016 in Brazil revealed Tom Hollander’s Peter Parker being given a few minor upgrades by Tony Stark.
The clip, although not yet has been exhibited publicly, illustrates Peter Parker’s POV as he encounters Stark’s man Happy. Happy isn’t too happy at the thought of Spidey’s suit, suggesting that he goes and finds Tony’s package in his apartment. Lo and behold, in the following scene, Spider-Man: Homecoming is shaping up nicely as Marvel clearly has its eye on the tiny things: The mixture of a classic get-up with a slightly more modern take on Spider-Man’s red and blue webbed costume can only mean that the franchise is safe in Marvel’s hands.
Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and Donald Glover, Spider-Man: Homecoming will come to theatres on July 7, 2017. Stay tuned for more news and updates regarding Spider-Man: Homecoming.
