Because of this, many are hopeful that Sony aren’t going to abandon their previous models so quickly if they have decided to release the Xperia Z6 with Android 6.0 indeed. The company can actually benefit from bringing the new operating system to their previous models as they will get some pretty good marketing for it.
But of course, all of this is based on rumors and speculation in the first place, and we have no idea if the Xperia Z6 is actually coming to the market anytime soon or not. Sony, as can be expected, have been mostly quiet on the situation and they seemingly don’t want to reveal anything to their fans.
But that’s pretty standard for Sony and it’s not necessarily indicative of the Z6’s current situation one way or the other.
For what it’s worth, rumors about the device have been repeated by multiple sources already, and at this point the possibility that it’s coming to the market is starting to seem more and more likely. Whether it will make it in time for a February 2016 release like the rumors are claiming is a different story, but we don’t see it as impossible either.
