Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Is Powerful And Waterproof!

Sony has been releasing some very impressive smartphones over the last few years, mostly with the Xperia name behind them. The phones are very powerful, larger in size and for the most part are not released in the United States. Yes, there are a couple of models that make it here from overseas, but there are a lot that consumers have not seen yet. One of the latest models to be released is the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, which is selling right now on Amazon for just $508. That price is for the unlocked model and is just a couple of bucks below MSRP.

The phone does have some nice features, highlighted by the fact that it is waterproof, fast, powerful and will easily fit into your one hand. For mobile users all over the world, whether a phone will fit into one hand is a very important metric that determines whether it gets purchased or not. Most do not like to use their phone as a tablet, so navigating around the phone with the one thumb is also nice.

Just like with all of the other Xperia models, Sony loaded the Xperia Z3 Compact with a super fast, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor from Qualcomm. That particular processor has been clocked t 2.5GHz, which puts the phone right at the top of the overall speed ranks. The display is just 4.6-inches in size, but it does sport a 1280×720 resolution which makes streaming video and images look rather appealing. With the jump in megapixels, you are going to need more storage for all those selfies, so the phone will start with 16GB of internal memory. This might not seem like a big deal, but there is a reason that all of the phone makers are moving towards waterproof phones.

The phone is unlocked and does come with support for 4G LTE networks, so at least you can benefit from download speeds. Some of flaws that were reported about the phone include camera bugs, a door over the charging port door and the fact that Sony has skin over the stock Android that can be a bit cumbersome. Ultimately, the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is a nice phone to buy as your first smartphone, but odds are you can get a better deal with another for the unlocked price.
