Sony Xperia C6 Rumors, Release Date And Speculated Features!

There are not that many people that would argue that Sony does a great job in the mobile marketplace as of late. The Xperia line of smartphones has really taken off over that time period and that can be mostly attributed to the host of features that Sony can cram into a thin smartphone body. For the most part, the batteries last, the screen is huge and the camera is always well worth the price to pay.

In the meantime, Apple is releasing new smartphones, sometimes two, each year and still taking the majority of the market share away from other companies. Companies like LG, HTC, Google, Motorola, Samsung and Sony have been taking shots at Apple for years, but few of them can hold up to the loyal fan base that Apple has. This week, a brand new smartphone from Sony has emerged in a leaked photo, according to sources. That smartphone is reportedly the Sony Xperia C6.

In the images that were leaked online, you can clearly see a smartphone that is thin, with thin bezels around the huge touch screen display and what appears to be a flat user interface. Sources are claiming that they expect Sony to release this new smartphone this year, but Sony has yet to confirm or deny those reports. There is another big mobile event coming up called, Mobile World Congress and that might be the time that Sony breaks the silence.

In many cases, when a company is going to release something huge, like an improved smartphone, it will hold its own event to showcase all of the features to an audience that is not distracted by all of other products on the floor of the convention. The Sony Xperia C6 is looking to bring a few new features to the smartphone world, including 2.5D Gorilla Glass that is protecting the front face, an all metal body and a huge 5.5-inch touch screen display. If you have been watching the smartphones grow over the last few years, then you are aware what other specs could be coming with the phone.

Smartphones have grown in overall footprint, but the thickness has dropped. On the inside, the processor is more powerful and more efficient in terms of battery life and usage. With that being said, the Sony Xperia C6 is going to arrive with a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset which is paired up with 3GB of RAM, if the reports are right so far. Just like every other smartphone, the Sony Xperia C6 is going to be used as a camera more than a telephone and that is why the back side and front facing cameras have been upgraded.
