According to Sony Online Entertainment, the beta release of Planetside 2 for PlayStation 4 will be happening soon. This piece of news has been confirmed by Sony Online Entertainment’s Community Manager Tony ‘RadarX’ Jones. He further added, much to the delight of the fans, that SOE will release a lot more information regarding the release of this game for the PS4 platform, quite soon.
However, this was declared by SOE around early October. Presently, we are almost entering November, and no additional information has been released so far. It seems that Jones has been quite reluctant in sharing the latest info regarding Planetside 2.
He simply took his time to tease a small amount of detail regarding the game for PS4. In this way, the gamers remain unsure when the game is about to release or when the release date will be announced. Due to this, the hype involving the game increases further among the fans.
As a result, gamers are now looking forward to different events for Sony where there might be a chance of the beta being released. Sony should announce something as big as the beta for Planetside 2 on a particularly huge event. The PlayStation Experience Event that is supposed to be held on December 6th-7th in Las Vegas could be the place where the game gets its maximum exposure for PS4 fans.
It will be a two-day community event where a lot of information will be released regarding PlayStation games, various panels with the developers and many other exciting announcements. When Jones was asked whether Planetside 2 will be a part of this event, he was recorded saying that they are thinking about it.
As tantalizing as ever, this should keep the gamers waiting for this year’s event. However, unfortunately, this is the only information released so far regarding the game and its Beta release for the PS4. It was last heard on August that Sony Online Entertainment was progressing in leaps and bounds, regarding the interfacing with the Sony PS4 platform.
It certainly seems that SOE has a huge level of interest for the interface optimization of this particular game. This was quite evident with the development team running the interface optimization processes during the launched E3 Gameplay for PS4 back in June.
Planetside 2 should have a 2014 beta release, and thankfully PlayStation Experience event will certainly fall within that period. However, if SOE wasn’t so teasing about this release, the tweets posted involving them would have been meaner to a lesser degree.
On the other hand, gamers can enjoy the Space Pumpkin feature released for this title with the ‘Nanite of the Living Dead’ update. The MMOFPS title will also receive Halloween events like many other titles.
Stay tuned for further information and updates regarding the latest gaming titles!
