Smithsonian Magazine Features Elio Motors in Future-Themed Festival!

Still, the company has been fighting the regulations and have managed to strike success in various states, getting the legislation changed and ensuring that they’ll be able to sell their vehicle as a car and not a motorcycle.

On the other hand, there have also been some issues with their manufacturing process, but they have reportedly managed to resolve those and are now back on track for producing the first batches of the launch model. All that’s left now is to ensure that the design is solid enough to attract the attention of the masses, and then make a proper release for it.

Because even if the car ends up good, it’s also important to ensure that the company makes a good impression with it on the market. People are easily distracted, and if they don’t get their attention firmly fixed on the Elio vehicle at its launch, it might fade into obscurity pretty quickly afterwards, which would be a shame.

  1. –BEWARE– Elio Motors has been taking ‘RESERVATIONS’ for 2 ½ years, but is still short $230 MILLION needed to reach ‘production’. In fact, their $100 – $1,000 reservations DO NOT guarantee that you will ever get a vehicle; “ we are under no obligation to supply you with a vehicle. “ And when asked, they refuse to provide which ‘reputable financial institution’ is responsible for their “Refundable” escrow account. They have NOT BUILT nor TESTED one complete Pre-Production Prototype with operable systems to ‘validate their claims’ of fuel economy, or safety!
