So Campbell would not be ruthless enough to put an end to the ‘Ichabbie’ love story just like that. If any, he should have learned from the lesson of another popular TV series “Castle” where the showrunners decided to split the couple momentarily and got the backlash of fans and suffered from a ratings decline.
Knowing the strength of the show is one thing, and making that strength work for the TV series is another thing.
“Sleepy Hollow” is the modern-day adaptation of the 1820 Halloween short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” where the headless horseman happens to be the central character.
However, the headless horseman, played by Neil Jackson during the first two seasons of the TV series, is not around for Season 3. In his place is Pandora, the new main villain that poses an even bigger threat to the partnership of Ichabod and Abbie. Pandora is being played by Shannyn Sossamon in the TV series.
In addition to Pandora, Season 3 of “Sleepy Hollow” has also ushered other villains that the duo contended with and will likely battle in future episodes. In fact, the first villain that Ichabod and Abbie dealt with at the start of Season 3 was the notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper, while the second villain was known as Abyzou.
Apparently, Abyzou was a tooth fairy that is not anything like the ones people tell their children about. The third villain that they battled with is a Draugar, a battalion of undead British soldiers who returned to Sleepy Hollow under the order of a General Howe.
