More than the speculations about the possible plotlines for the Season 8 of the American family reality TV series “Sister Wives,” the Brown family shall reportedly continue their fight for freedom to practice polygamy.
Reports have it that the US Supreme Court has given the family until September 10 to file a petition for review of their filed case against the State of Utah for banning plural marriage, reports the Ecumenical News.
The case started in 2012 but it was denied by a state court and the Brown family has to act on the Supreme Court directive or the banning of polygamy in Utah could set a possible precedent in other states in the US.
It is possible that such could be the focus of the plotline for Season 8 of “Sister Wives” when it returns to TLC soon.
The network has yet to make a decision to either confirm or cancel the show but considering that “Sister Wives” is one of the top-rating TV shows on TLC, it is possible that the network is just delaying it to heighten the excitement and suspense on the show.
Kody Brown in a financial bind
There are also rumors saying that Kody Brown is currently dealing with financial problems which might be the cause for the possible cancellation of the show, notes the Parent Herald.
However, such speculations actually emanated from previous rumors saying that Kody Brown shall be junking all of his four wives and replace them with two new ones. If and when that happens, TLC is likely to scrap the show.
Since Kody gets much of his finances from the top-rating TV show, its cancellation would have a telling impact on its finances, which is where all the rumors about him suffering from a financial quagmire started.
It seems, however, that Kody does not have any plan to leave his four wives, nor does he intends to take in two new wives because the rumors actually originated from Kendra Pollack, a family friend, who has been proven to be somebody who provides erroneous information about the family and also about “Sister Wives” as a whole.
As a matter of fact, there are even absurd reports going around that Season 8 shall also see Kody Brown hiding another wife somewhere but it looks like it is just another wild speculation about the possible plotline of the show.
Losing his only source of income
If patriarch Kody of the polygamous Brown family is entertaining ideas to junk his four existing wives and replaced them with two new ones, he could not be able to afford it, cite many critics.
Apparently, if and when he comes to such a decision, TLC shall also decide on canceling “Sister Wives” for Season 8 and Kody Brown will lose his only source of income for now.
While the reports about Kody looking at getting two new wives in lieu of his four current wives are mere speculations at this time, the network would like to have no part of it.
Clearly, it is an ultimatum by the network on Kody Brown so if he is even considering such idea, he better think about it well because he will not just be losing his four wives and his entire family, he shall also be losing his source for money. It has been confirmed that Kody’s only source of income is “Sister Wives” and if it gets canceled, he would end up income-less.
There is no clear explanation as of yet about his source of income before the start of “Sister Wives” more than seven years ago.
Reports back then were saying that Kody worked in online advertising before “Sister Wives” began in 2010. But since then, Kody has been quite vague on what he actually does for a living.
In fact, back then, he was reported to have filed for bankruptcy when he was still married only to Meri. He reportedly owed about $200,000 back then.
Kody be a bad father and a less than good husband most all of the time. He has so much love for hisself there be no room for others. He’s way more like a brat boy than areal man. Fans even like the family but not Kody not Robyn to. Secret wife lol not. Noone wants Kody around them. Gross guy
