‘Sister Wives’ Season 8 Latest Rumors Say Meri Barber is Dating a New Man from Hawaii; Reportedly Wants to Leave Behind

There have been reports over the past few weeks saying that Season 8 of the American family reality TV series “Sister Wives” has already been canceled by the TLC network. Accordingly,  the main reason for the cancellation  is because patriarch Kody Brown is no longer interested in any of his four wives that he plans to marry two new wives.

However, it seems unlikely that it is to be the real case since it was very clear from the revelation of Kody Brown during the Season 7 finale when he was interviewed by Erica Hill, that he has no plans of leaving his four wives anytime soon or worse, bring in two more wives to the polygamous Brown family.

As of late, however, it is the turn of the first wife Meri Barber to get thrown in the rumor mills, though it is not as bad as the catfishing scandal that she fell victim of back in Season 7 of “Sister Wives.”

When Meri got drag into a catfishing scandal during the past season of “Sister Wives,” it shook the Brown clan. The family is slowly moving on from the controversy but divorce issues and Kody looking for new wives reports are giving the family a hard time to enjoy their break from the small screen.

Determined to move on

Latest rumors have it that Meri is now determined to move on from Kody Brown.

Meri is Kody’s first wife. He divorced her in September 2014 to marry his fourth wife Robyn in Season 6 of “Sister Wives” but Meri remains spiritually married to Kody.

There are also reports saying that Meri is allegedly dating a new man who lives from Hawaii. Kody Brown’s first wife is done with him and all the drama with her sister wives.

The source disclosed that Meri has wanted to leave in the past year and now she’s traveling more frequently.

The report added that Meri is not alone in her issues with Kody, as her fellow sister wives have the same issues. Everyone feels emotionally distant from Kody, details the iTech Post.

Getting fed up

There are also speculations saying that the four wives are getting fed up with the polygamous Kody Brown and all of them are planning to bolt out of the relationship, notes the Parent Herald.

There are also speculations saying that Season 8 of “Sister Wives” may be canceled alright and its replacement shall be a possible spin-off TV series.

Such rumors seem to be off the grid once again since the lifeblood of the TV series is the polygamous relationship and set-up in the Brown household so if the key players would not come back or someone is missing for the upcoming season, it would really make a telling and negative impact on the good ratings of “Sister Wives” or its supposed spin-off TV series.

If “Sister Wives” is indeed canceled, it would likely go the way of another former TLC show, “19 Kids and Counting” featuring Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their big family.

When TLC decided to cancel the TV series in light of the child molestation scandal involving Josh Duggar, the eldest among the Duggar brood, the network eventually decided to create a spin-off TV series entitled “Jill and Jessa: Counting On.”

sister wives

According to reports, there is now a big possibility that “Sister Wives” will take the same route because TLC is already piqued apparently with the rumors of Kody Brown speaking his intentions to leave his four wives and replaced them with two new ones.

Some critics believe that the case of “Sister Wives” is far different from the case of “19 Kids and Counting,” because there is no scandalous issue involved. Even if the rumors are true that Kody Brown is planning to marry two more wives, he can still do so without breaking the law, at least in the state where polygamy is allowed, whereas child molestation is both a moral crime and a felony.

  1. If Kody can’t be faithful to four women who have basically given up their lives for him in the past, then those women have decided that their futures belong somewhere away from him. Mightn’t he of thought to lock his phone down better to prevent one of them from discovering what was taking place on the side? All of his begging has fallen on angry ears, too betrayed and anguished to register his promises of “never again”. The log that broke the camel’s back is a matter of trust and hypocrisy. The foundation of all they believed was broken asunder.

  2. Kody Brown would never cheat on any of his wives, he has a sacred commitment with each to uphold the bonds of holy matrimony to be faithful. The very idea that a highly moral man like Brown could ever be accused of infidelity ever even crossing his mind is absolutely absurd. The thought of it would sicken and disgust him. The man takes his marriage vows very seriously.

  3. It’s strange about Robyn letting My Sister Wife’s Closet go to heck in a hand basket while Janelle is making a great successful business enterprise with her new and novel idea, Strive. That girl was born with the golden touch in making good use of her amazing smarts. Christine should get some ideas from Janelle. I think Meri had to sell leggings to get by.
