Show creator and executive producer Michael Dobbs of the American political drama TV series “House of Cards” on Netflix disclosed that there will be much more wickedness in the upcoming Season 4 of the show.
Dobbs disclosed that fans of the show will get to see some great acting and great dialogues that will surely leave them with a sense of wanting to see more of the episodes of the show. He attributes that the show has become so much compelling because of its great writers and directors, notes the International Business Times.
While Dobbs did not reveal anything about the two main characters of the show – Frank and Claire Underwood – there have been more than enough reports in the internet these days on how the rift between the President and his former First Lady will play out in Season 4 of “House of Cards.”
Instead of zeroing in on the details of the “House of Cards,” Dobbs simply said that all politicians get their comeuppance at some point which already hints of how things will play out between the First Couple and each other’s desire to take the lone seat in the White House.
Season 4 will not be the last
Dobbs also assured fans that Season 4 of “House of Cards” will not be its last because the TV series will continue for as long as the relationship between Frank and Claire, whether they are together or apart, remains interesting. He believes that the show is anchored primarily on the relationship of Frank and Claire.
He said that on top of the ongoing rift between Frank and Claire following their blowout breakup in the series finale of Season 3, fans will be pleased to know that there’s going to be plenty of machination and manipulation from the master schemer no less, Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Space, according to the Express.
The wickedness will emanate from Frank as he attempts to govern the country even as he tries to deal with a critical media eye that is putting his administration under the public microscope.
In terms of the show’s longevity, Dobbs believes that there is still life ahead for “House of Cards,” saying that it will last as long as creativity can be maintained particularly in the relationship between Frank and Claire and also as long as fans are having fun with it. The show creator concludes that as soon as everyone stops having fun and running out of ideas, “House of Cards” will draw to an end at the right time.
Wary of Frank
Asked recently what fans should expect for the upcoming Season 4 of the “House of Cards,” Oscar-winning veteran actor Kevin Spacey said that he is actually wary about his character Frank Underwood when the show returns next year.
He said that Frank, as president of the United States, and as former husband to Claire Underwood, should carefully watch his step and be wary of what his ex-wife is planning against him.
