Should Arrested Development Go on Beyond Season 5? Let’s See!

Now that “Arrested Development” has been confirmed for a fifth season, the show’s fans are obviously very excited – and they have been discussing all they want to see in the new season in detail. As can be expected, there are lots of requests coming from all corners of the show’s fan base, and its fans are not only interested in seeing their favorite main characters back, but also various supporting characters that have been featured on and off through the previous four seasons.

It actually looks like the producers of the show might have some trouble putting all of that into one season if they want to satisfy all of their fans, so they will likely have to figure out which requests make most sense and go with those. Of course, they probably have their own ideas that they want to do too, although some of those probably overlap with what the fans themselves have in mind.

And while it’s great that the show still has a lot to go by, it could also be a bit of a problem if the producers have to start trying to combine many different themes into one. That could run the risk of making the season look too disconnected and random.

On the other hand, we also saw the other extreme in season 4 – episodes that we basically one really episode split over a whole season and shown from different perspectives. Not everyone was excited about the change, and some fans disliked the new style of the episodes. Obviously, those who’ve watched the show for a while have established some ideas for what they want it to look like, and a drastic change can be taken a bit negatively.

Another topic that’s quite hot in the community of “Arrested Development” right now is the continuation of the show beyond season 5. On one hand, many fans would obviously be happy to see more of their favorite characters. On the other, we know what happens to a show that’s being extended just for the sake of having more episodes, and that can be very detrimental to its popularity among its fans.

Arrested Development Season 5

Even if season 5 is successful, if the writers don’t have many fresh ideas left they might be better off just putting an end to the show completely. Fans are already used to the idea anyway – season 4 came as a bit of a surprise, and now the same is happening with season 5 as well. So after two cancellations, fans will have no problem getting the news of a third one.
