The Japanese game developer joined Sega in 1983 as a programmer where his first creation is a 2D boxing game called “Champion Boxing.” Suzuki was also responsible for the creation of some of the most famous games of Sega which includes “Hang On,” “Space Harrier,” “Out Run,” and “After Burner.” The game developer is also a pioneer of polygonal 3D games such as “Virtua Racing” and “Virtua Fighter” which popularized the 3D video games.
In other news, the original voice actor for the game’s protagonist, Ryo Hazuki has signed in to voice the character again in “Shenmue 3,” IGN reported. Corey Marshall has signed to be the voice of Hazuki again. The Shenmue kickstarter page thanked Marshall for coming back and for showing support for the game over the years. It also encouraged fans to say hi to Marshall by greeting him using Ryo’s famous one-liners.
Furthermore, Suzuki would like to extend beyond the third installment of “Shenmue” series and is already planning the “Shenmue 4″ because he said that in order to finish the entire story, they would need to produce four to five games. The game developer also said that he originally planned the game to have a fourth and fifth installment.
Ys Net said the release of the “Shenmue 3” will be in December 2017 and will be available to Microsoft Windows and the PlayStation 4.
