Right after the airing of the 22nd episode of “The Big Bang Theory” two weeks ago, there have been reports that the show is on course to a cliffhanger note, which would leave fans guessing until Season 9 is aired again later this year.
The series finale of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 will air on CBS on May 7 and according to the UK edition of the International Business Times, it shall have some big revelations and confessions particularly in the two main relationships in the American sitcom – Penny and Leonard as well as Amy and Sheldon.
The series finale is officially titled “The Commitment Determination” and it pretty much explains the plot for the 24th episode of the show.
Interesting plot
Based on leaked information about the synopsis of the final episode, Sheldon will apparently pressure Leonard and Penny to set their wedding date even as his relationship with Amy takes on some dramatic changes.
The season finale shall feature two life-changing decisions for the show’s central couples. There will be huge developments in the final episode of Season 8 that will leave fans of the show hanging as usual.
Leonard is played by Johnny Galecki, Penny by Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Sheldon by Jim Parsons, and Amy by Mayim Bialik.
The cliff-hanger ending of “The Big Bang Theory” for Season 8 only means that Season 9 will come back strong and hard out of the gate when it returns to the air towards the latter part of the year. This was confirmed no less by Steven Molaro, show creator, during a recent interview.
As early as March 12, 2014, “The Big Bang Theory” has already been renewed for three years or up to Season 10, which is a testament to how good the show is doing in as far as TV ratings are concerned.
Lovable pairs
“The Big Bang Theory” focuses on the lives of four lovable geeks and the four women who love them. The other two geeks are Howard and Raj, played by Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayvar respectively.
Howard has Bernadette, played by Melissa Rauch, in his life, while Raj, for the first time, has to make a decision about his love life, at least in the current season.
There are hints that Lucy played by Kate Micucci, shall return to the show for Raj but Molaro refuse to divulge the details. Instead, he actually insinuated that Emily may also be great for Raj.
When asked about the future plans or what fans might expect from the next two seasons of the show, Molaro bared details to the minimum.
