FIFA president Sepp Blatter is scheduled to arrive in Tehran on Wednesday to attend International Conference on Science and Football.
Blatter is scheduled to address the opening ceremony of the Conference which is slated for Wednesday November 6.
Bahraini president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Sheik Salman Bin Ibrahim al-Khalifa and a number of high-ranking Fifa officials will also participate in the event during which some 20 foreign guests such as heads of Qatari and Palestinian football federations and Bora Milutinovic who is one of the only two persons to have coached five different teams at the World Cup are to deliver speeches.
Iranian football federation believes that 2,000 Iranian academics, coaches and football experts will attend the Conference which is said to be aimed at updating the knowledge of coaches based on the latest scientific findings in football activities.
Executive secretary of the Conference Reza Gol-Mohammadi has said the Fifa president is scheduled to hold a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and then with officials from Iran’s Ministry of Sports and Youth.
