After Justin Bieber broke off early last month with his girlfriend of six weeks Sofia Richie, fans started speculating that the “Sorry” singer is likely paving the way for his reunion with former girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Selena Gomez checked herself into rehab in September apparently to cure her depression because of her lupus but many are saying that her depression and anxiety were caused by that high-profile spat she had with Justin Bieber on Instagram.
That social media fight actually prompted Justin Bieber to momentarily deactivate his Instagram account as his verbal battle with Selena Gomez seemed to have gone out of hand.
Reports are also saying that Justin Bieber feels guilty to what happened to Selena Gomez and he felt all the more sorry when the family of the “Good For You” singer told him not to see, call, text, or e-mail Selena anymore.
That suggestion seemed to have reignited Justin Bieber’s true feelings for Selena Gomez that he reportedly vowed to win her back once she checks herself out of rehab.
Too little too late
But unfortunately for the Biebs, his plan seems to be too little too late as reports now have it that Selena Gomez already has a new boyfriend in Ed Sheeran and that it was actually her best friend Taylor Swift who brokered the relationship, reports the Inquisitr.
While Selena is still in rehab at this time, she is now said to be singing beautiful music together with Ed and seems to have forgotten the numerous pains that Justin Bieber has caused her time and again.
Accordingly, Ed Sheeran even visited Selena Gomez while she was in rehab and that they were reportedly getting cozy with one another even before “The Heart Wants What it Wants” singer check herself into rehab.
However, for those who have been following Selena Gomez, there was actually no time in her recent schedule that she and Ed Sheeran hooked up which makes the latest rumors suspect.
Critics are saying that if she and Ed were already seeing each other or dating even before she checked herself into rehab, Selena Gomez would not raise hell on Justin Bieber on social media the way she did because the “Purpose” singer bragged about his then 18-year-old girlfriend in Sofia Richie.
The only reported connection between Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran was during their night out together than happened way back last year when they dined at the Sunset Towers Hotel. They then proceeded to an album release party for “Nobody Love” singer Tori Kelly.
The two were also seen at the Nice Guy restaurant in Los Angeles during their supposed date night.

The rumors about Ed Sheeran and Selena Gomez seem old news when compared to the nasty speculations that the songstress was one of the reasons why A-list couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie broke up in September, reports Headlines & Global News.
The last time that they made the news together, Selena Gomez was freaking mad at Justin Bieber for brandishing his then girlfriend Sofia Richie on his social media account.
That resulted in a verbal tussle between the former lovers on social media that escalated to the point that Justin Bieber had to deactivate his Instagram account momentarily.
For her part, Selena Gomez suffered some kind of anxiety and depression and claimed that it was not caused by her tiff with Justin Bieber but her medical condition, lupus. She has since checked herself into a rehab to take some time off from her already toxic schedule and stressful situation.
Shortly thereafter, Justin Bieber broke up with Sofia Richie, his girlfriend of only six weeks, who, according to reports noticed the tension between the Biebs and Selena Gomez that she may have felt that they still have feelings for one another and were merely fooling themselves.
According to both fans of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, the reconciliation between the two pop superstars is imminent.
