Selena Gomez is the New Face of Coach; Singer Ready for Comeback Album? Let’s See

2017 promises to be a good year for Selena Gomez. After a tumultuous 2016, the singer was recently revealed to be the new face of Coach.

The 24-year-old pop star will be helping out the fashion brand with her massive social media following starting in the fall of 2017, as the star revealed on her Instagram over the weekend.

Rumors initially started swirling that Gomez will be creating a collection under the brand, but Coach clarified that she will be working as a brand ambassador and will replace Chloe Grace Moretz, who is the current face of the brand.

She will, however, be designing one piece for the brand alongside Coach’s creative director Stuart Ververs. The creative director shared that he is very much excited to collaborate with Selena on the new product.

This won’t be Selena’s first venture into fashion. She previously worked with K-Mart and Adidas Neo, the Daily Mail of UK reports.

Aside from her fashion foray, the “Good for You” singer is reportedly working on a new album. Last week, Selena was snapped at sporting her shorter hairdo, but it wasn’t her new bob that caught fans’ attention. It was the fact that Gomez was photographed inside a recording studio.

Songwriter Justin Tranter also shared more pictures of Gomez hinting that they are working on some new music again.

Tranter and his songwriting partner Julia Michaels have worked with the former Disney star for her last album “Revival,” in which they collaborated on her singles “Hands to Myself,” “Good for You,” and “Perfect” among others.

Us Weekly confirmed that Gomez is indeed working on some new music, adding that she is back in Los Angeles and is focusing on her music career once again.

The media outlet adds that Selena is all about positivity right now and is trying her best to overcome the challenges she faced in the past few months.

It also added that Gomez wrote a lot of lyrics and melodies while she was in rehab and has so many ideas for new singles.

Selena’s ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas shared his excitement on this news. The former Jonas Brothers member commented on Tranter’s photo with the praise hands emoji.

Fans are happy that Selena is finally able to work on new music again after taking a step back on social media for the past months.

It started when she canceled the remainder of her world tour in August as she experienced anxiety and panic attacks as side effects of her lupus.

She apologized to her fans saying that she takes her health as a priority and promised that she will make it up to them once she’s back on track. Almost a month later, she checked herself into a Tennessee rehab facility.

In 2014, “‘The Wizards of Waverly Place” alum went to rehab as well for the chronic autoimmune disease and revealed that she had no access to social media or let alone any gadget for three months.

Her representatives have cleared out that it wasn’t about drug or substance abuse. Selena was just feeling lost and not herself anymore which is why she decided to take some time off to heal and assess herself.

While in rehab, she still gave her fans a treat by releasing a track called “Trust Nobody,” in which she collaborated with Cashmere Cat.

The “Monte Carlo” star returned to the spotlight for the American Music Awards last month and accepted the Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist Award.

She also delivered a very emotional speech admitting that she was broken and encouraged people who are undergoing depression just like she is to speak out and seek help.
