With Justin Bieber rumored to be hooking up with Kourtney Kardashian, Selena Gomez has also moved on by linking up with One Direction’s Niall Horan.
And it seems that the pair of Selena and Niall appears to be leading in the romance and sweetness department compared to the seemingly surprising couple of Justin and Kourtney.
Since Selena and Niall could not spend their first Christmas together as a couple because of prior commitments with their respective families, the One Direction band member gave his girlfriend a sweet Christmas present to remind her of him every time she goes to sleep or whenever she thinks of him.
Niall gifted Selena one of his favorite white T-shirts where she can wear and sleep into and remind her of him in bed and in her dreams too.
According to a source, Selena told Niall that she really loves the way he smells so he doused the shirt with his cologne, wrapped it up and gave it to her as his Christmas gift, details the Hollywood Life.
Niall told Selena to wear his shirt whenever she misses him. It is also obvious that Niall is so smitten with Selena that he wants to make sure that he is never far from her thoughts.
According to her friends, Selena is finally free from her long years of infatuation to her ex, Justin Bieber. And now she is trying to break whatever bond is left between them. Niall is apparently helping her to focus on him and their blossoming relationship.
Selena is also reportedly being wooed by Scott Disick, the former lover of Kourtney Kardashian, in an attempt to get revenge over their exes. Scott was proposing that they do a steamy music video to get the attention and ire of both Kourtney and Justin to which Selena politely said no. Scott must be dreaming big if he is looking to nail Selena, sources said.
Nearly simultaneous comebacks
It was only a few months ago that both Selena and Justin made their official comebacks in the music scene.
Selena Gomez dropped on October 6 her “Revival” album while Justin Bieber launched his fourth studio album titled “Purpose” on November 13.
With the way that the first few singles from both albums made it to the top of the charts, it is safe to say that Selena and Justin made successful comebacks this year, notes Salon.
Justin redeemed himself from the evil of bratty deposition videos, throwing eggs at a neighbor’s house, and cheating with his ex-girlfriend Selena and playing her for a fool.
For her part, Selena’s comeback signaled the beginning of her contract with new label Interscope as well as her transformation into a full-grown adult woman who has found confidence on the inside as well as the outside.
There were even rumors that the reason why the two were recently spotted before and after their nearly simultaneous comeback album launchings was to add to the promotions of their respective new records. And that their supposed dating was actually under their respective contracts.
But now that the two of them are hooked up with different persons, it seems that the dating for public charade is over. The good news is that the tracks on their respective albums continue to make waves at the top of the charts and also in terms of sales so there is no longer a need to pretend that they are dating, some critics note.
Not falling for Justin’s ‘Sorry’
Last month, Selena Gomez took a swipe at former boyfriend Justin Bieber by saying that she does not like the Biebs’ Latin remix of the song “Sorry.”
Her comment was actually in direct contrast to Justin’s claims that Latino girls will be going crazy on the new Latin remix of his song “Sorry” that also features Jay Balvin.
Selena gave a thumb down to “Sorry” by posting a photo on her Instagram with a little girl holding a coffee mug with the words ‘Drink some coffee, put on some gangster rap and handle it,’ underneath.
Fans and critics believe that Selena’s reaction was a little surprising since she previously liked an Instagram post of Justin composed of six photos earlier that same day that featured a timeline of their relationship. Four of the six photos showed them literally kissing.
