Justin Bieber said a mouthful about his past relationship with songstress Selena Gomez during his recent interview with Complex magazine as the publication did a story about him, having been chosen to become the cover of its latest issue.
The “Baby” singer mentioned about how he and Selena used to fight a lot when they were together and likened their relationship to a marriage, that eventually fell apart.
He said that he has learned a lot during his on-again, off-again three-year relationship with Selena Gomez that started in 2011 and ended late last year.
The “What Do You Mean” singer also said that he and Selena lived together and living with a girl at his young age of 18 then was just too much for him. He, however, justified their decision back then to move in together because they were so in love with each other and nothing else mattered, details the US Weekly.
Upon subsequently learning the interview of Justin Bieber with Complex magazine, Selena Gomez hardly felt anger or annoyance about it. Instead, she really felt flattered that even when she and Justin are no longer a couple for nearly a year already, it clearly appears that Justin Bieber still thinks about her.
The thought actually gives her the goosebumps, but in a positive context. She says that hearing her former boyfriend talking about their past relationship will never get old to her.
The 23-year-old Selena does not get tired of hearing the 21-year-old Justin talk about their past relationship because she actually loved that he was still talking about her, cites the Hollywood Life.
Thinking about her
According to a source close to the songstress, Selena loves hearing Justin open up about her and their relationship during interviews. She feels flattered and proud knowing that the young singer is still thinking about her.
Justin also talked about the beginning of his relationship with Selena Gomez. Given their young ages, the honeymoon stage in their ‘married life’ did not last very long because their relationship turned rocky and they keep on breaking up.
The relationship of Justin and Selena as friends turned for the better when they finally broke up. The same insider said that the two music celebrities still have that emotional connection despite parting ways.
More to her than Justin
Selena Gomez says that there is more to her than being linked to Justin Bieber and that people and media outlets should start moving on from the past relationship the way she has done.
The 23-year-old singer took to Twitter to make the statement after a news outlet ran an interview with her and the article appears to be dwelling on old news because it again focused on her relationship with the 22-year-old “Baby” singer.
In her tweet, Selena said that she finds it disappointing seeing interviews that she has done recently and sounding like the exact same interview when she was still 16.
The singer believes that boyfriends of the past should stay in the past and that it is time for the rest of the world to move on with her.
She also mentioned that she has a new album coming out and that there is a lot more to her now than merely talking about her and her past with the Biebs.
Meanwhile, Selena Gomez joined her ultimate BFF Taylor Swift on stage during the latter’s latest show to promote her latest album “1989” at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on August 26.
