Mathison believes that Brody, who was held captive by Al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war was turned by the enemy and posed a threat to the US.
In the upcoming Season 6, former Islamabad Station Chief Carrie Mathison goes on a self-imposed exile in Berlin and be away from her former work with the CIA. As she moves to a new location, Carrie will be struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment after years of working on the front lines compared to the current war on terror that the American government is waging all around the world.

However, there will be a twist as her former life comes back to haunt her normal life and she is forced to do again the things that she used to do. Saul and Quinn shall reportedly reappear again to keep her in the loop as far as the CIA’s agenda in Europe are concerned.
The upcoming Season 5 of “Homeland” shall feature 12 episodes. The series was renewed for its fifth season as early as November last year when Showtime announced that it has renewed the series for its 12-episode Season 5 to start airing in September 2015.
