Instead of May 21 as previously announced and reported, the CW network has pushed the premiere of “Beauty and the Beast” Season 3 to June 11.
The three weeks delay was a bit of a disappointment to fans who have been waiting for the return of the American police procedural, sci-fi, suspense, and romance TV series which left them hanging during its Season 2 finale.
But if the description of the upcoming third season is to be an indication, “Beauty and the Beast” will reportedly focus more on the blossoming romance between show’s protagonists Catherine ‘Cat’ Chandler, played by Kristen Keuk, and Vincent Keller, played by Jay Ryan.
Cat and Vince will be able to concentrate more on their feelings from one another free from manhunt. However, typical of the series, there will be a new conspiracy that will emerge that will give new threats and put lives of innocent people at risk, notes Christian Today.
As a soldier that he is, Vince will have to transform again to the beast that he is which would mean again that he would have to put his life on the line again and his feelings for Cat on hold once more. Talk about being anti-climactic and “Beauty and the Beast” really has full of it.
Taking off from Season 2
It can be recalled that Season 2 ended when both Cat and Vincent were invited by mysterious government agents who have helped save JT’s life. They were the same people who helped Vincent out of prison to run tests on him.
Apparently, they have been studying Vincent for some time and seeing how he works best with Cat around, they invited both of them to join the secret organization whose aim is to study humans and the science which can show and prove how Vincent metamorphoses into a supercharged beast.
Whether the pair would agree to join the secret organization or work against it to protect the personal secret of Vince is what fans would find out in Season 3.
Initial apprehension
While the producers of the show have shown their initial apprehension in continuing on with the TV series after the third season, since they only planned 13 episodes for Season 3, the confirmation for Season 4 would open the possibility that “Beauty and the Beast” might have more than 13 episodes for its fourth season next year.
The producers’ initial apprehension is due to the fact that Season 2 of “Beauty and the Beast” generated a total of 1.24 million viewers, which is a steep drop from its Season 1 viewership numbering to 1.78 million. But a TV series that has more than 1 million viewers is still good by any standards and language, so the producers decided to go on with it.
