ScotteVest OTG Jacket Allows Users to Carry All Kinds of Technology Even Without a Bag!

In today’s modern times, nearly every individual is tech-savvy. One person at least carries at least one electronic device with him or her on a given day.

However, today’s generation of technology-oriented people actually carries an average of three electronic devices or gadgets with him or her – a smartphone, a tablet, and a laptop.

Normally, these people carry it using a knapsack or other types of bags for that matter. But for those who do not want to carry bags on his or her hands or his or her shoulders, there is a great alternative which has been generating positive reviews from contented users since it was officially launched late last year.

Interestingly, the option is a piece of clothing known as the ScotteVest OTG (Off The Grid) jacket. Unlike the usual jacket, ScotteVest OTG jacket has tons of pockets, including five that can hold a large tablet, reports the PC Mag.

The jacket actually features 29 pockets. There are two clear pockets designed to allow the user to see iPhone notifications without taking the phone out of the pocket, and he can also thread in-ear headphones through the interior of the jacket to simply sit on his collar when not in use.

The 27 remaining pockets have room for all the technology that a user would likely to carry, from full-sized headphones and mirror-less cameras to memory cards. A compact DSLR would also fit, though the user would need to remove the lens.

There are also interior cable clips, allowing the user to use a portable power pack to recharge gadgets on the go with the connecting cables between pockets tucked neatly out of the way, along with the same RFID-blocking pocket.

The jacket is also lightweight, comfortable, warm, and machine washable too. The ScotteVest OTG jacket actually blends its utility and fashionability.

The jacket’s claim to fame

ScotteVest has been in the utility clothing business since 2000. The company has been selling men’s and women’s tops that look normal from the front, but hold a lot of pockets in the interior.

It is the same strategy that it employed in developing the ScotteVest OTG jacket, which also became the clothing’s eventual claim to fame.

There were previous reports that the jacket can supposedly hold an entire laptop in one of its pockets but it should be noted that it’s not a laptop but a notebook or perhaps today’s generation of small and lightweight laptops.

The nylon exterior of the quilted puffer jacket feels about on par with a Patagonia jacket. The lines next to the zipper are actually chest-long pockets, and below are hand-warming pockets.

Some of the pockets of the ScotteVest OTG jacket are actually layered inside each other.

There are stitched icons that remind the user what each pocket is designed to hold. There are pockets that can fit both pens and small electronics and there are also those which can hold bigger items.

Biggest selling point

The biggest selling point of ScotteVest OTG jacket is that the larger sizes can reportedly fit a whole laptop in them. It’s also regarded as the most gadget-friendly windbreaker in the market today.

The smaller jackets can fit a small, 11″ ultrabook. When an iPad Pro was tried to be inserted in one pocket inside, which is 12.9 inches diagonally, it fit snugly. But it shall have difficulty accommodating a 13.3-inch laptop for sure.

ScotteVest actually sells everything from doctors’ jackets to hoodies and trench coats. Even those who are considered not a gadget hoarder, there’s definitely a market for the OTG jacket especially for the tech-inclined.
