They also hadn’t planned beyond the first 13 episodes originally, which apparently caused some problems in determining where the plot should go next, but the situation has overall smoothed itself out and now the production of season 2 has been more or less trouble free.
We don’t know if the new season is going to tone down the more extravagant aspects of the plot, but some fans have been hopeful to see something along those lines. It’s true that the show is based on a real-life person, but sometimes it’s really difficult to take its plot seriously.
Which is a shame, because it’s one of the best opportunities for TV to present hacking in a more realistic, down to earth manner, and it seems to be going to waste with “Scorpion”. When season 2 rolls around, we might see a different story though.
And if that happens, combined with the expansion of the story arcs, the next season of the show should be an amazing watch and definitely something worth keeping an eye on. Whether or not we’ll see it growing beyond that probably depends on how well this new season is going to play out.
