‘Scorpion’ Season 2 Premiere to Feature Cameo Appearance of Rock Icon Gene Simmons

The series finale of “Scorpion” for Season 1 aired on April 20, 2015 gained high ratings, with an 11 percent increase in viewership among adults, ages 18 to 49 years old, up from its previous week while its counterpart on NBC and ABC channels were down 14 percent and 9 percent, respectively, from their previous week’s numbers.

The final episode of “Scorpion” Season 1 was also the second most-watched show of that night with 10.42 million viewers. At the time of the series finale, the TV series has been already renewed due to its high ratings.

The series finale provided fans with tense and exciting moments as they saw O’Brien clinging for his life and his team trying their best to save their leader. O’Brien was perched on the end of a cliff, at risk of tumbling 300 feet downhill. The next scenes were filled with tense moments as well as several attempts to save the main protagonist. In the end, Agent Gallo was able to save O’Brien from danger.

There was also some fan-favorite moments when O’Brien was about to confess something to Dineen during the cliffhanger scene. On the hospital, Dineen kissed O’Brien while sleeping which generated some positive reactions from fans. In a poll conducted by TV Line, 63.8 percent of the fans think that the series finale of Season 1 was awesome. “Scorpion” Season 2 will premiere on September 21 at CBS.
