‘Scandal’ Season 6 Would be Late and Shortened Because of Kerry Washington’s Real-Life Pregnancy!

After the Season 5 finale of “Scandal,” Olivia and Fitz became the only people standing in a single piece. Executive producer Shonda Rhimes described it as the world fairly being blown apart for everybody except ‘Olitz.’

Season 5 of “Scandal” also focused on the reconstitution of Olivia Pope & Associates as Rhimes previously hinted that the Gladiator conceit was sidelined a bit during the fourth season to focus instead on healing Olivia.

Rhimes added that there were a lot of times during Season 4 of “Scandal” that only Huck and Quinn were gladiating by themselves, which was altogether a different dynamic.

Another character who fans saw more in Season 5 is White House Press Secretary Abigail ‘Abby” Whelan, played by Darby Stanchfield. She has been struggling to stay afloat with all the shenanigans going on in the White House. She finally received an unexpected guidance from a master of damage control during the second episode of Season 5.

During the final scene of the premiere episode of Season 5 of “Scandal,” Captain Jake Ballard, played by Scott Foley, and Diego ‘Huck’ Munoz, played by Guillermo Diaz, was also shown talking about teaming up.

Jake, as every fan of the popular show knows, is a former B613 agent who decided to let Olivia be with Fitz even after he professed his love for her.
