Accordingly, the sixth season of “Scandal” will open on the US Election Day and the Americans will be making a choice for their next leader. The choice is only between Mellie Grant, played by Bellamy Young, as the Republican nominee, and Frankie Vargas, played by Ricardo Chavira, as the Democrats bet.
As for the vice presidency, the toss-up would be between Jake Ballard, played by Scott Foley, and Cyrus Beene.
Olivia Pope is supporting the candidacy of Mellie and they are both scared of Cyrus’s candidacy because he knows a lot about them. They are also aware what kind of monster Cyrus is, who is very capable of doing a lot of bad things.
Of greatest concern is the fact that Cyrus knows about Mellie’s haunting past and it is what is giving the presidential aspirant some sleepless nights.
But Olivia will not be intimidated by Cyrus and she is reportedly working on her own plan to defeat Cyrus in his own game. There are reports saying that Mellie will agree to Olvia’s game plan to bring down Cyrus for good.
