Scandal Season 4 Episode 19 to Pit Olivia against Her Father as She Tries to Get Rid of Him!

We’ve already seen that Olivia Pope has a lot of negativity pent up for her father, Rowan Pope, in the plot of “Scandal” – so far, she’s made various remarks indicating that she would love to get rid of him. And now, it seems like she’s about to actually put those words into motion and try taking down her father, as episode 19 will apparently focus on that development primarily.

We know that from the preview for the new episode, but it also implied some more interesting developments – Olivia will apparently have to cause some harm to President Fitzgerald Grant if she wants to accomplish her goal of getting to her father. It’s not known exactly what she’ll have to do to the President and what the extent of her actions will be, but given Olivia’s character, we wouldn’t put it above her to do everything necessary to get what she wants.

ABC were originally going to release a more detailed synopsis of the episode, but they announced that they will put it up later on, after the episode has aired, since the show is skipping its airing during this week.

We got to see a preview clip for the new episode, in which Olivia’s father is shown sarcastically laughing at her during what seems to be an argument between the two. Olivia is talking on the phone, her hand on her mouth, and her expression doesn’t immediately reveal her mental state.

In related news, Joe Morton, who plays the role of Olivia’s father, recently talked about his experience in the movie industry and his many failed casting attempts. According to him, his skin color has been an actual problem, but not in the way most people would think. Many producers apparently wanted to cast him for specific “typical gangster” roles and turned him down stating that he’s “not black enough”, “not urban enough”, as well as a variety of similar phrases which completely confused and disappointed him.

In the end though, the actor seems to have found his way through the industry, and he’s now doing quite well. The success of “Scandal” is only one reason for him to be happy with his current career development – and we can only imagine that those who refused to cast him before were probably disappointed with their decision at some point afterwards.

scandal season 4

In about a week, “Scandal” will be back, and it looks like its producers are going to give their fans a lot more than they’re anticipating right now. It’s a show that certainly knows how to put its viewers on edge, and the new season has been doing that job just spectacularly, according to most reviewers and fans alike.
