2017 is going to be an interesting year in the mobile and wearables market, that’s for sure. There have been lots of shifts on those fronts, and we’ve seen developments that hardly anyone could have predicted some time ago, even last year.
It’s possible that even more strange things can happen by the end of this year, setting up the market for a more eventful 2017 too. It’s not just about Samsung – other companies have been going through various problems as well, and even Apple are in a questionable position in most people’s eyes.
The company may also have an exploding device problem on their hands, if some recent reports are true. The situation is still clearing up and people seem unsure what to believe, while Apple themselves have of course been completely quiet, other than to confirm that they are investigating.
Let’s hope that the release of the Samsung Gear S3 is going to put Samsung in a better position on the market compared to their current one, and will allow them to get back on their feet after the incident with the Galaxy Note 7.
The company still has a strong potential to develop great devices and to push the market forward even more, and hopefully we’re going to see them realize it to their fullest. But before that, they’ll need to work quite hard to regain people’s trust and to make sure that they don’t repeat their mistakes again.
