And it looks like they are going to need all the help they can get for their popularity, as lately other companies have been waking up and realizing that there is a lot of merit in the idea of a smartwatch, so we’ve seen some pretty spectacular releases from other manufacturers.
Samsung are still holding their ground though, and they have been working hard to get people on board of the Gear line. We expect that the Gear devices are going to improve even more in the future once Samsung pick up the pace and the market becomes even more developed, and there will likely be some very interesting releases some time from now.
We’re already hearing rumors about different concepts allegedly being worked on by various companies, but we have no idea which of those rumors could be true and which ones should be taken with a grain of salt.
After all, in such a rapidly developing market, it’s guaranteed that there will be lots of rumors and people will keep talking. Especially people with more investment in that type of technology, who probably want to see it succeed and are constantly repeating what they’ve heard from the rumor mill just to keep the hype as active as possible. In the long run, this could actually be beneficial to the industry as a whole.
