Samsung Galaxy Tab S Pro Brings Some Serious Features to the Table!

It seems like the modern thing to do with tablets right now is to release “pro” versions of well-known models. Apple were first with their new iPad Pro, and now Samsung have also decided to introduce a similar model of their own, the Galaxy Tab S Pro. The device was the subject of much speculation once it was first announced, and people have been paying a lot of attention to its development, hoping that Samsung are going to deliver something nice to the market.

It has quite the large display, over 12 inches across the diameter, and it offer crystal clear images and fast response time with the touchscreen technology used. Not only that, but Samsung have reportedly put a lot of effort into the physical design of the device, aiming to make it more stylish and unique in its appearance than what their products are traditionally known for.

Which alone should be interesting to see, as Samsung’s mobile devices are generally associated with a lot of quality and a luxurious feeling, so if they have managed to raise their own bar on this, it should be a very special device. What we’ve been seeing so far in terms of specifications also paints an interesting picture, and it’s starting to seem like Samsung are strongly determined to make a good release with this model.

The processor will be a small beast, with a 64-bit Exynos 7580 running at 1.6 GHz, as well as 2 GB of RAM on the tablet. There will also be options for expanding the built-in 32 GB of storage, which should top off the feature set of this tablet and really paint it in a positive light for fans.

It’s interesting to consider who it’s been aimed at, however. This is the same problem as with Apple’s iPad Pro – the tablet is obviously powerful and well-designed, and it’s going to be an advanced model with a lot of features to offer. But what does the “Pro” in its name mean?

According to some experts, it might not be the ideal tablet for professionals, despite the name. Its large screen and other multimedia capabilities make it more suitable for consumers of media who want something that will give them hours of entertainment (especially with the large battery), but it seems like it will be too expensive for people who are just looking for multimedia consumption.

Students might be a good target crowd for this, but then again, the price might be a factor that works against the success of the Galaxy Tab S Pro on this market. In the end, Samsung might have some issues trying to fit this tablet into any particular area of the market, but we still don’t doubt that the tablet is going to be successful one way or another. They are a company that knows their audience and this tablet is most likely the result of a lot of active market research and investigations into what people want to see.

Samsung have some even more interesting and unusual things lined up, such as a tablet with an 18.4 inch display that is larger than even a laptop, named the Galaxy View. The device is yet to be released, like the Galaxy Tab S Pro, and despite the somewhat clumsy-sounding design, people are already showing a lot of interest in it and it looks like Samsung might be successful with this release if they play their cards right.

  1. Samsung released the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 on March 9 2014. Long before Apple announced the iPad Pro. Who is infringing on who now?!?!?!?

  2. .. and the Tab Pro 12.2 and Note Pro 12.2 each have 3 gigabytes of RAM, while the S Pro 12.2 will reportedly have only 2. So how exactly is the S Pro an improvement?
