Some critics say that Apple has been in a clear lead because of its advantage in performance in so many areas like the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus compared to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge although there are also critics who say otherwise. One advantage of the iPhones though is the fact that they are vastly supported by third-party apps.
Apple has been the leader for high performance with its pixel features which began the trend among small players to mimic the company’s style.
However, Samsung is determined to turn the table in their favor as the company plans to strike back with a better smartphone user experience.
In particular, Samsung is likely to go into high-quality display features. The company plans to work on display improvements as well as enhance the Y-OCTA technology, which it was not able to accomplish with the controversial Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Y-OCTA technology is not like the ordinary display panels working on a separate layer for smartphones. It allows Samsung to embed touch sensors directly to display panels which result in a thinner panel and better touch sensitivity.
It might be an edge for Samsung in planning to take the lead on the next generation’s smartphone devices which would definitely hit the markets next year. Samsung fans are probably expecting better-than-ever devices from the company, which is to be pace by the Samsung Galaxy S8 come the MWC 2017.
