Samsung Galaxy S8: Redefining the Existent Technologies to Save Face? Let’s See

Samsung has maintained a pattern with its model numbers since the launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The model’s numbers for the S6 variants were SM-G920 and SM-G925, and for the S7 variants, it was SM-G930 and SM-G935. Instead of maintaining the pattern, the S8 variants will skip the number 4 which is because of a Korean superstition.

The hardware of S8 will be powered by Exynos 8895 processor with a 6GB of RAM which will be a first in its league. The user-interface will also be enhanced in these variants of S8. Both of them are said to Dawn OLED displays instead of a flat screen. The testing of the smartphones is planned to start from January for which the supplier chains have already been briefed. The full supply of the phones is still varying in different reports between February and April.

The S8 Edge concept also looks at increasing the security and initiating advances in Android Pay and Samsung pay. It will also feature a stronger and durable Corning Gorilla Glass that will surround the Edge S8 as compared to the previously inferior Glass used in the previous Galaxy S series.

The Galaxy S8 Edge will cost around ₹ 57,591 a piece which will be expensive as compared to Galaxy S8 and the pre-orders will be announced shortly after the official announcement of the phone.
