Which device is the better option right now is hard to tell, as in the end it still boils down to choosing an OS. Both phones have their strong sides, and while the removal of the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 was an obvious issue for Apple, it’s not the end of the world.
We wouldn’t be surprised if the iPhone 7 still manages to sell well, but those who want to get a full range of features in their smartphone and fully customize their experience should definitely look in Samsung’s direction. Or the Android market in general, as it’s seen some great offers from various manufacturers over the last few months.
As for Apple, we hope that the company will come to its senses and backtrack on their mistakes with the next iPhone.
In fact, some have been joking that Apple are just going to use the situation to claim that they’re innovating by bringing the 3.5mm jack back. While it may sound like an exaggeration now, the company’s questionable attitude to their development lately could actually make this a somewhat realistic scenario.
If they don’t bring any other major new features to the iPhone 8 – and they very well may not – they won’t have much else to talk about and amaze their users with, so they will likely start making some more desperate attempts. Let’s just hope that we’re not going to see Apple falling to that low state.
