These visual changes also come with Google’s new features that usually come with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow including the advanced permission controls for apps, Google Now on Tap, Doze mode for saving battery life, among several others.
Fixing the Galaxy S6 bad battery life
For a flagship smartphone that comes with a non-removable 2550 mAH battery, the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is a big disappointment to many of its users.
While having a non-removable battery may hardly mean anything to some Galaxy S6 users, it is obvious that it has put added importance on the stock battery found inside the handset.
With the impending rollout of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the Galaxy S6 this month, battery life will be a big issue for the flagship smartphone. Battery life issues have always plagued Galaxy smartphones though often times, it is not the device’s battery or its current operating system that is causing the problem but the apps and other services, details Gotta Be Mobile.
It is important for users to find and delete apps that eat up a lot of the battery of the device. Applications, third party and stock, have a tendency to put a huge dent into the battery life on any smartphone, not just the Samsung Galaxy S6. If users utilize the application a lot, it’s going to drain the device’s battery.
But there are also times where bugs or issues might cause an app to go rogue and start abnormally draining the device’s charge.
In order to fix the problem, users are advice to go to the Galaxy S6 settings. The Galaxy S6’s battery section in the settings shows detailed analysis. For applications which seem to take up much power, it is best to delete and reinstall them.
Restarting the Galaxy S6 if it starts heating up also helps in saving its power. Another possible solution that the user might consider is to disable unnecessary services on the smartphone like NFC, GPS, or the like especially when those are hardly being used.
Using a black wallpaper also helps save the battery life of the Galaxy S6. It will also help the user if he will also be using Galaxy S6 software features instead of the third party apps and features.
And then there is the safe option of buying a standby battery pack especially for Galaxy S6 users who feel that the performance of the battery of their device is quite underwhelming.
