Samsung has done a great job of offering the technology that users want to use on a daily basis. That technology has come by way of smartphones, tablets, phablets, computers and even television sets. Each year, the company has been releasing one of the most anticipated smartphones in the industry and for the last five or six years, selling millions of units worldwide.
Now, the company has been trying to keep up with the sales that Apple pulls in with the iPhone and according to the latest news, will only be releasing premium products. Samsung has many premium products out on the market, but they have also catered to emerging markets over the years with lower priced, entry level smartphones as well. This year the Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to be one of the hottest selling smartphones and in Canada will be selling for just $250 for the 32GB option. That price is in line with the flagship prices that were rumored months ago and look to stay there even as Apple raises the iPhone 6 price.
That $250 price comes with a normal, two-year contract. Sources also claim that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is going to be about $100 more with the same contract. If you would like to buy the phone without any contract, you can do that, but they are going to cost you $750 to $850, respectively. If you find that 32GB is not enough internal storage for you, you can upgrade to the 64GB option, or even the 128GB option if you have a couple of extra $100 bills lying around.
The 128GB model is $470 with a two-year contract, just to give you an idea of the price as you increase the memory. If you want to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, you are going to pay more than $1,000 if you prefer to go without any contract. The phone is to be released on the 10th of April in Canada, but pre-orders have started already.
If you decide that you want to place a pre-order, you are going to be getting at least one gift for doing do, depending on the carrier that you are setup with. According to sources, some of the mobile carriers are offering a wireless charging option for the new phone to those that pre-order. If you live somewhere that has a Samsung retail store, you will be able to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S6 starting next week.
