Based on critics’ review of the Galaxy S6, it actually got an 8.9 overall rating based on five categories including battery life, features, design, camera, and performance.
It had lows of 8.0 rating for its battery life and camera. The non-removable battery and the absence of expandable storage via the traditional microSD card slot have become the major downsides of the Galaxy S6 as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge.
While the non-removable battery was merely a take-off from Apple’s iPhone, Samsung users did not appreciate such design gesture.
The Galaxy S5 was a major disappointment not only from consumers but also for Samsung itself. That is why when the Galaxy S6 was put on the drawing board, it has certainly left much of the Galaxy S5 DNA behind it.
The Galaxy S6 was actually good enough to win back for Samsung consumers who were strayed as a result of the poor showing of the Galaxy S5.
The even better news is that the smartphone was able to reverse Samsung’s sagging smartphone sales with its groundbreaking looks and features.
The 2015 flagship smartphone of Samsung proves that the Korean tech giant can stand toe-to-toe with Apple iPhone not only in terms of hardware but also physical design too. The groundbreaking features of the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge merely sustained those advantages.
