However, if Samsung really plans to unveil two big items for the August 12 event, they could face the same dilemma they had when they launched the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge simultaneously in March. With the tight competition in the market, it is more likely that the demand on new luxury smartphones and tablets is slackening up. If Samsung would introduce two new products, these devices would compete with each other in the same market, the same way that the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge also competed with one another, whether Samsung would admit it or not.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to be a powerful device nonetheless. It is expected to have a USB Type-C port, a 4GB RAM, and an octa core 64-bit CPU Exynos 7422 processor. With a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED QHD display, the Galaxy Note 5 will come with an ejectable stylus as well.
Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy Note 5 will have a glass back material just like the Galaxy S6. It can also support PMA and WPC standards in wireless charging.
In terms of the camera, it will have a five-megapixel front-facing snapper. It is also expected to come in four colors: gold, black, silver and white.
