Samsung Galaxy S6 Codenamed “Ground Zero,” Expected to Release around MWC 2015!

According to initial speculations, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is currently under development and is codenamed Project Zero. Rumors claim that since Samsung has redesigned the smartphone from scratch, it is being referred to as Ground Zero. Anonymous insiders have claimed that Samsung is presently working with a new formula and on an exclusive vision.

Project Zero proves that Samsung is trying to achieve new greatness with the Galaxy S6. This is not surprising since Apple broke their long-term design strategies with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Considering the situation, Samsung could not continue with their old design strategies by any chance.

However, we have no clue as to what Samsung’s vision might be, and it could be a while before either the company or anonymous employees make a revelation. However, no matter what the future holds for Samsung, some of the phone’s principal design elements have been determined.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to feature metallic finish and 2,560 x 1,440 pixel QHD display. Even though the screen size is yet to be determined, the general word suggests that Samsung is likely to incorporate a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen based display.

Samsung’s decision to codename the Galaxy S6 as Ground Zero is also a step away from the South Korean company’s tradition of naming its devices in the alphabetical order. While the Samsung Galaxy S5 was codenamed Project K, The S4 and Note 3 were known internally as Project J and H respectively. Are we witnessing a change in Samsung’s age-old traditions and policies?

Samsung needed to bring massive changes to the Galaxy S6 in order to stay in lieu with their rivals, especially since the S5, which possessed minor changes over the S4, was mostly a dud in terms of global sales. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is far from the official release date, although, experts have hinted that the first official teaser could be revealed fall 2015.

Samsung is known to release new devices in or around the Mobile World Congress each year, and that has been a tradition so long. Experts believe that the South Korean electronics giant will not tamper with this tradition this time too. Hence, we are expecting the Samsung Galaxy S6 to release in March 2015.

Samsung has recorded over 60 percent decline in sales volume this year, and the company does not wish to spend another year making losses. Hence, the engineers have gone overboard with construing new ideas for the Galaxy S6, which is also rumored to pack in numerous ingenious features.
